Hi there! My name is Afrah Noor and I am a Biochemist with a focus in Pharmacology. I recently obtained my MS degree from Drexel University, and am applying to medical schools this year. I love school, but I also love to teach! I taught AP Biology to high school students for 3 years, and worked as a teaching assistant at Florida Atlantic University. When I am not teaching or studying, I enjoy hiking and kayaking through remote areas! Almost every summer, I visit Alaska for its beautiful and vast wilderness. From a very young age, I developed a love for nature. During my early adolescent years, I rescued birds in South Florida. Throughout my undergraduate career, I worked in a Sea Turtle lab to rescue and rehab 3 different species of Sea Turtles. Sea Turtles have an enormous impact on costal reef ecosystems, so it is unfortunate that they are endangered. Increasing the sea turtle population was the overall goal in my lab. I love to teach about conservation and global warming in general, so if you are interested in these topics please let me know! I am passionate about teaching because I believe that knowledge is a powerful tool. I am looking forward to working with you! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am recent University Graduate with a B.S. in Kinesiology. I have worked with kids and in education for most of my working years. So, I am so excited to work and learn from you just as much as you learn from me!

Hello! My name is Chelsea Nowak and I am an English as a New Language teacher in Buffalo, NY. Prior to teaching ENL, I taught middle and high school French. Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated with the French language and culture. After a senior class trip to France, I was hooked and knew that I had found my calling. I completed my B.A. in French Adolescence Education at SUNY Brockport and abroad in Avignon, France. In 2011, I was one of fifteen individuals in the United States gifted with a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in France through the Franco-American Teachers-In-Training Institute. I lived and taught English throughout the Loire Valley in all academic levels. This incredible experience opened my eyes to teaching English and inspired my Master’s work. I completed my Masters in Education in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). During my graduate studies, I spent a month teaching English in Puebla, Mexico. It was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences as non-Spanish speaker. And most recently, I spent a summer tutoring English to a French family in Grenoble and traveling throughout Europe with my husband. I absolutely love to travel and experience different ways of life. I truly believe that I wouldn’t be the person I am today if not for the experiences I have had. The teaching and learning of languages is a passion of mine, and I am excited to expand my classroom on an online platform.

Hi, I’m Colleen Akiko. I’ve enjoyed teaching music for a lot of years. I grew up in a musical family, listening to many rehearsals and concerts and imagining colorful stories to go with them. I began studying piano at seven and performed with a symphony orchestra at 17. That’s when I began playing professionally, sharing a variety of flavors of yummy music. Writing songs has been a passion of mine since junior high school. Helping students learn, create and discover the magic of music makes my day!
My name is Cyrus Bry and I am a graduate student and researcher with a focus in astronomy/astrophysics. I have a strong sense of admiration and enthusiasm for space and the cosmos. My professional goals are to earn a PhD and work in an astronomical research laboratory such a SpaceX, NASA or LIGO. These endeavors require the use of physics and mathematics on a regular basis, which I have grown to love, and I am eager to instill this love in younger students.
I live in Orlando, Florida with my lovely wife, our 4 year old son, and our 1 year old cat. I’ve always been very curious, I do research just for fun. I studied physics very seriously, I wanted to understand how math works and how it’s used to visualize things like physics. In college, I simulated the formation of spiral galaxies, like our own Milky Way, with colorful animations that look like hurricanes forming. I love the feeling of helping someone understand something, and helping others discover empowering tools, resources, and confidence to explore further on their own.
My name is Eric Lee and I graduated from Simon Fraser University (BC, Canada) with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. I have been a full time tutor for 5 years. Math and chemistry are my favorite subjects to teach. The best feeling comes from helping students learn and improve, which is one of the many things that keeps me going with this job in the foreseeable future.
I have received awards for STEM communication, I do research, I am the one students go to when they don’t understand something, I teach in a way that students can’t forget — and not just to pass the exam. But the most satisfying part of my tutoring experience is quite simple: I love it when my students get excited about learning.
My AP calculus students score in the 98th percentile or higher, my SAT students in the 97th or higher, and the lowest score a student of mine has received on the IB Higher Level math exam is a 5. And no, my students are not typically top-notch students who eat textbooks for breakfast, but they represent many
walks of life. I’ve had F students get accepted to Yale in 3 years’ worth of my work, absolute math haters go on to pursue doctoral degrees in STEM, working-class students taking care of their families score a 7 on the IB higher Level exam, and so forth.
If you are one of my test prep students, I will focus on your speed and efficiency. You will be a 99th percentile machine and you will have extra time on the exams to take a nap, if you so wish. I will coach you like you are an athlete with daily exercises, fun games to engage your mind, practice exams, and I
will show you your progress every month or week leading up to the exam.

I attended Angelo State University where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in mathematics in August of 2020. While I was there, I also minored in computer science which is another one of my interests. I love anything involving math, computers, and animals.

Hi out there! Thanks for stopping by Dr. B’s profile. ! I have been on a great road of academic success and still continue my academic journey always seeking new knowledge. I am currently seeking my Masters in the Art of Teaching Special Education with initial licensure along with credentials for information science. I found my way to the world of education and tutoring by chance when I was asked by peers for help during college at the learning center. I realized I absolutely enjoyed helping others to connect with information in real ways they could relate to. I have been tutoring for over 9 years and have worked with all types of learners including students who are: neurodiverse, ESL, students with diagnosed conditions, first-generation, at-risk, and many students who need a different type of tutoring experience. I have been a substitute teacher for many years, paraprofessional, business owner, adjunct professor, and even tried out marketing and advertising; all have been fantastic learning experiences and beyond valuable to understanding people and different industries. My tutoring style is visual and hands-on but I can certainly adapt to whatever you prefer to understand material. My highest academic achievement has been receiving my doctorate in education for reading education (Ed.D). I am a passionate, enthusiastic, patient, and very understanding tutor. Outside of tutoring, you will find me at the barn riding my horses and preparing for competitions, spending time with my dogs, writing music, reading, hiking, coloring and painting, and watching tv shows about crime.
